Candace Cameron Comments – My Heart Yearns

Candace Cameron included the words, “my heart yearns,” in her comments about building bridges to bring people closer to God.

How could she not realize how insincere repetitive Sunday School words would sound? Anyone who grew up indoctrinated in church culture has heard those words millions of times.

Make a note to never say “my heart yearns” – unless you’re writing a poem.

“My heart yearns to build bridges and bring people one step closer to God, to love others well, and to simply be a reflection of God’s huge love for all of us.”

Yeah, right. If that were true, people wouldn’t be so quick to judge and condemn those who don’t agree to live according to their religious dogma.

From Matt Gaetz

The following video from Matt Gaetz, suggests that some people are simply too evil or too ignorant (or both), to be public servants.

Sweet Jesus, save us from ignorance, idiots, hatred, and Matt Gaetz.

Religion is not an excuse for discrimination

Religion is not an excuse for discrimination

There’s a reason I think this message is important right now. Yesterday I was in a FB discussion thread and one of the women spoke of God with a lower case g.

Another person participating in the discussion commented that she would not speak to that person because she did not use the uppercase g when referring to God, therefore her opinion was not important enough to respond to.

This is certainly not what Jesus taught. As far as I know, this is not what any religion teaches.

Religion is not an excuse for discrimination.

Everyone’s opinion is at least worthy of hearing because that is how we understand the other person’s point of view.

Division eventually brings clarity, and hopefully compromise.

Just because someone doesn’t believe exactly as you believe, is not a reason to “cancel” them.

This cancel culture has got to stop.
